11 Random things about me:

1. I have the habit of talking to myself. (Sometimes just thinking things isn't enough!)

2. I like the smell of chlorine.

3. I think baby turtles are probably the cutest thing ever.

4. I can't whistle.

5. My middle name is Nicolle.

6. I don't like foods that are supposed to be sweet and savory at the same time.

7. People who don't know me think I'm quiet. People who do know me probably wish I was quiet. ;)

8. I'm a fast learner when I'm shown how to do something, but I can't focus when I get verbal instructions. :P

9. I go through 1-2 diaries a year!

10. I can't stand repetitive noises (dogs barking, whining, songs that repeat the same thing over and over again...)

11. I like newspaper comics.

Here are my answers to KayleeBeth's questions:

1. If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go? Mostly Europe: France, Italy, England, Ireland... I'd also like to go to Japan and Belize (we have some friends out there. :)

2. If somebody told you, We are going to Paris in two hours would you be able to pack that quickly? Yes! I'd probably manage to forget a few things, but I probably wouldn't mind. It's PARIS, for goodness sake! ;D

3. Do you have any pen pals? I do, but I am horrible at writing them back. : /

4. Who is your favorite super hero? This is a hard one to answer, because I've watched a lot of the Marvel movies, but haven't read any of the comics. Going off of the movies, I'd say either Spiderman or Captain America: Spider Man because he's cool, and Captain America because I liked his character better. :)

5. What do you do in your spare time? Read, blog, Facebook, watch TV, go on a walk, talk to my sisters...

6. How many siblings do you have? 6

7. What is your favorite color? Orange.

8. What color is your room? Yellow.

9. What is your favorite flower? Roses. :)

This week, I've suffered from a total writer's block (hence the fewer posts and penguin randomness). I figured I may as well just try and push through it by writing something. So... here I am. What do you want me to say? Oh yeah... that's my decision. Crud.

Ok... I'm thinking. What about... purses? No.

Purple Pillows? No.

Paper cranes? Nah.

I'm just naming off things I see in my room. :P

It seems like this week my mind has taken an indefinite vacation. I really don't know where it's wandered off to. It doesn't write, it doesn't call...

My chores and my homework are like, "Kaylee... we need you. Please don't neglect us like this!"

But then the computer's like, "Hey, I'm way more interesting. You can learn from me, too -- Here's a tutorial on making paper cranes!"

My empty head is more attracted to the shininess of the laptop, so it's a losing battle.

My brain is in a total haze lately. I really can't think straight on anything. I think it's just all the things going on in my life right now. You know... we ran out of snacks, and nobody will learn morse code with me... life is tough.

Hehe, ok, it's not that trivial (although I think it would be really cool to learn morse code with someone so we could talk to each other without people knowing; or I could just be normal and get a cellphone...) I do know that my little pity party has lasted way too long. I need to do something like this:

It's also funny how we can sometimes get so distracted with our problems that we sort of shy away from God a little. That's when we need Him the most! I need to suck it up, read my Bible, remember that God has everything under control, and be happy, darn it! ;)

In other news... I want cookies.

Hi, my name is Kaylee, and I'm addicted to the computer.

So I mentioned here that I have a bit of a problem managing my time. Well, it was this ill-usage of time that made me fall behind on my chores, and made my parents do something about it. :P

Yes. I, Kaylee, one of partially-sound mind and the perfect example of poise and perfection (Ok, I lied a little... ;), have been grounded.

And while I'm kind of bummed that I will not only be missing out on the internet world, but the TV, too... I'm also sort of cool with it. I'm hoping that this week will be really productive, that I can catch up on my chores, and maybe get some more reading done (for fun! As opposed to just reading school books, which has been sucking up all my reading time.) :)

As far as blogging, my mom's allowing me to post my Valentine's Day post this coming Tuesday, but some of the other upcoming posts I've mentioned for this week will be postponed until next week.

Everybody have a great 7 days, and hopefully, if I'm not laughing maniacally and cradling myself in a fetal position, I shall be back to tell you all about my screen-free week, Memory Monday, and B.E.A.T Stables. :)

Allow me to introduce myself...

If you are reading this, then you are reading a monumental moment in history; for here on this day, I am writing the blog post to begin all legendary blog posts. This is where it allllll starts.

...Or not. Chances are, you're probably reading this because I told you about it or because you're reaaalllly bored and have been browsing blogs for hours (get up! Go outside! DO something with your life!). I'm not sure how many viewers I'm going to get, but I'm really hoping this takes off. I love to write and needed a project, so here we are. :)

Welcome to my blog!!!

If you don't know me, I'm Kaylee Beutler (otherwise known as "Kay.") (To the right, holding "Moono." Isn't "Yo Gabba Gabba" AWESOME?!?!)

Here's me with my sisters (from left to right: Khloe, Kyla holding Katie, Karissa, and Karly). And, since all of our names start with K, some of our common nicknames include, "Kat...Ky...Khlo... HEY YOU!"

We like to keep people on their toes. :P

My Mom, and my newest baby sister, Kianna...

...aaand my dad with Kianna (as you can see, it's hard getting a picture of all of us at once).

So there you have it. We're one of those "weird" families with "like, a bajillion kids." ;) It's hectic, it's loud, it's borderline insanity over here sometimes, but I love it. My family likes to keep things interesting.

As for me, I shoot people.

I also like driving my family members insane with playing the piano and learning ASL (which I'm having a great time with!)

I'm 17 years old, I'm a senior, I volunteer at a horse stable, love music and the color orange.

(And I'm beginning to sound like an intro for a Miss America contestant...) :P
